About

I’m a career transitioner into UX research and product design. I am focused on connecting real human needs with effective, meaningful solutions. My approach to design was not formed in a straight line, but through a journey that has given me a unique perspective on solving problems. This approach has evolved throughout my entire career and is grounded in creative curiosity, critical inquiry, and human-centred design.

Before dedicating myself to UX, I spent 10 years in arts-based social research, exploring how people move, think, and make sense of complex environments. That experience taught me how to listen to people in facilitated workshop settings, uncover patterns and themes from qualitative data, and tell compelling human stories through design.

A focus on understanding complex systems has driven my career. My foundation in human-centred research began with my Master’s in Fine Art, where I investigated how people interact with and make sense of their environments. My Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration gave me a framework for connecting human insights to concrete business goals and market realities. My UX Design diploma focused this entire skillset with the methods and tools to apply a user-centric approach to building intuitive digital products. You can explore the project archive of my work in visual art, lecturing, participatory social research, publication design, and exhibition design at archive.quintenedwardwilliams.com.

This multidisciplinary background is my greatest strength. It means I can contribute across the entire product lifecycle. I can conduct rigorous user research and facilitate a stakeholder workshop with confidence. I can map a complex user journey and analyse the competitive landscape. I can apply user insights to specific problems and design solutions that are sensitive to user goals and business needs. My goal is to use this integrated perspective to help organisations better connect with and serve their customers.

When I’m not working, you might find me walking my dog, practising my Olympic lifting, or making something good in the kitchen to enjoy with family or friends.
